From July 17-19, Roberta Gentili, Claudio Minca, and I undertook a short second visit to Una-Sana Canton, Bosnia and Herzegovina, following up on an initial visit in November 2022.

As in the previous trip, we visited Bihać, with its reception facilities (Temporary Reception Centres  Lipa and Borići,) as well as makeshift camps in the town of Velika Kladuša and along the border with Croatia. In a meeting with the director of IPSIA BiH, Silvia Maraone, we discussed the situation of migrants in that part of Bosnia.

On the return trip, we met with Dr Marijana Hameršak from the Institute of Ethnology and Folklore Research in Zagreb to share research issues of common interest and potential future collaboration.
