In January 2025, a new collaboration was launched between the LUMEN project and the Italian Federation for the Recognition of the Rights of Lake Garda.

The Federation is committed to securing the recognition of Lake Garda as a subject of law, organizing meetings and conferences to draft a Declaration of Rights and transform it into a bill.  As part of this partnership, LUMEN will offer support for the participatory process of discussion and dissemination of the Declaration of Rights for Lake Garda.

This collaboration emerged following the event "Solo vera è l'acqua e il suo naturale splendore" (Only true is the water and its natural splendor) held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Abbey of Maguzzano in Desenzano (BS). The event, focused on the protection and safeguarding of Lake Garda and its declaration of rights, saw the participation of researchers from the LUMEN project.
