On Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM, the event "Solo vera è l'acqua e il suo naturale splendore" (Only true is the water and its natural splendor) will take place at the Abbey of Maguzzano in Desenzano (BS), focused on the protection and safeguarding of Lake Garda and centered around the declaration of its rights.

The event, organized by the Federation for the Declaration of the Rights of Lake Garda and moderated by Francesco Visentin from the University of Udine, will feature the participation of experts, activists, and academics, including Silvia Bagni, coordinator of the LUMEN project at the University of Bologna, with a presentation titled "Environmental Constitutionalism and the Rights of Nature," and Pasquale Viola, member of the research unit at the University of Trieste, with a presentation titled "Complex Systems, Law, Subjectivity, Lake Garda."

Additional contributions, reading moments, and hands-on activities will enrich the program, addressing key topics such as the declaration for the recognition of the rights of Lake Garda and the issue of water as a subject of law, alongside other important reflections on environmental protection and water resource conservation, with the aim of promoting a new legal paradigm that places the defense of nature at its core.
