On the occasion of World Ocean Day, the LIFE NatuReef project is participating in a public event dedicated to exploring the Adriatic Sea, its biodiversity, and sustainable solutions for protecting coastal ecosystems.
The event, organized in collaboration with the University of Bologna, the Soroptimist Club of Ravenna, and MAR – Ravenna Art Museum, offers a journey through images, scientific insights, and visual storytelling to deepen our knowledge of the sea.
Programme:
Introduction and moderation by Elena Fabbri, professor at the University of Bologna and President of the Soroptimist Club of Ravenna
Jacopo Alessandri (University of Bologna) – The Adriatic Sea and its currents along the Ravenna coastline
Mauro Pazzi (diving instructor) – Exploring the underwater environments of the Adriatic: from Ravenna to Albania
Simone Modugno (marine biologist) – The Bevano River mouth: a flight over nature
Massimo Ponti (University of Bologna) – LIFE NatuReef: A nature-based solution for coastal and marine biodiversity protection at the Bevano River mouth
The event will conclude with an interactive quiz to test your knowledge about the fragility of the Adriatic coast.
