On Friday 8 May, the LIFE NatuReef construction site will host a technical field visit organised as part of the training course “Wave dynamics, shoreline dynamics and coastal risk management”, promoted by the Technical Secretariat of the Po River District Basin Authority (ADBPO) together with the University of Parma, and funded by the RETURN Project – Multi-Risk sciEnce for resilienT commUnities undeR a changiNg climate.
The course is delivered by Prof. Sandro Longo (DICAM – Department of Engineering and Architecture, University of Parma) and combines online lectures, coastal hydraulics laboratory sessions, and field activities.
The visit to the NatuReef site will provide an opportunity to explore key coastal management topics, including coastal geomorphology, shoreline dynamics, coastal geo-hazards and instability, gravitational processes, subsidence phenomena, coastal monitoring techniques, and sea-level variations. Participants will include staff from the Emilia-Romagna Region, ARPA, and ADBPO.
