From December 9 to 13, 2024, Padua will host the ASITA National Conference on Geomatics, a key event for professionals in the field.
As part of this important conference, the geomatics team from DICAM, in collaboration with the Proambiente team, will present a poster dedicated to the LIFE NatuReef project during the session on December 11.
The poster, titled “Integrating UAS and GNSS Survey Techniques for Monitoring the Effects of Restoring Natural Reefs to Protect Coastal Environments”, highlights the joint work between DICAM and Proambiente for the simultaneous survey of dunes and bathymetry. This approach enabled the creation of a comprehensive baseline snapshot of the study area, which is essential for the project’s monitoring activities.
The work emphasizes the synergy between advanced tools and techniques, such as drones, OpenSWAP, LiDAR, photogrammetry, and GNSS, demonstrating how these technologies can integrate to provide accurate and valuable data for the restoration of coastal ecosystems.
