The LIFE NatuReef project participated in the Regional Strategic Forum for the Blue Economy, organized by the Emilia-Romagna Region on November 7, 2024, at Ecomondo in Rimini. This event provided an important opportunity to discuss the challenges and opportunities related to conserving marine and coastal ecosystems, focusing on innovative and sustainable solutions that promote environmental protection and economic development.
The Forum, an initiative of the Emilia-Romagna Region, was created to enhance the Blue Economy, an economic sector aimed at preserving and sustainably utilizing marine and coastal resources. This approach is essential for the Adriatic coast, where the responsible management of marine resources is crucial for preserving natural habitats and supporting the economic activities that depend on them.
During the forum, numerous experts, representatives of institutions, research organizations, and EU-funded projects gathered to share knowledge and experiences in the marine sector. LIFE NATUREEF was presented as a "nature-based solution" project that drives a paradigm shift in actions for the conservation and protection of marine habitats.
