Thursday, February 22nd, and Friday, February 23rd marked two pivotal days devoted to the project monitoring visit. Dr. Noemi Spagnoletti (LIFE NAT Monitoring Team, ELMEN EEIG) led the visit, accompanied by Dr. Carmen Gangale of the LIFE National Contact Point Italiano, who participated at her explicit request. Together, they delved into the intricacies of the project, and its developmental phases, and embarked on an enlightening exploration of the mouth of the Bevano.

On February 22nd, the proceedings unfolded at the Environmental Sciences headquarters in Ravenna, where the day was dedicated to comprehensive presentations on the project's work packages and the progress made in various activities. The monitoring visit provided a valuable opportunity for members of the LIFE NatuReef project team to convene in person, fostering insightful discussions with Drs. Gangale and Spagnoletti. Additionally, it facilitated an in-depth analysis of surveys initiated the previous autumn. The afternoon session was centered around financial management and reporting, ensuring transparency and accountability in project operations.

The morning of February 23rd was dedicated to an immersive excursion to the mouth of the Bevano. Participants had the chance to delve into the area's rich history, gaining valuable insights into the park's heritage. Furthermore, they had the privilege of surveying the designated site where the reefs will be strategically positioned, laying the groundwork for future endeavors.
