Date: 07 NOVEMBER 2025 from 9:00 to 13:00
On 7 November 2025, at the “Tonino Guerra” Institute in Cervia, the conference “The Coastal Dunes of the Ravenna Area: Protecting and Preserving a Disappearing Environment” will take place, an opportunity to deepen the discussion on safeguarding one of the most fragile and valuable ecosystems of the territory.
Coastal dunes play a fundamental role in protecting shoreline areas, contributing to biodiversity, defence against erosion, and resilience to climate change. However, human pressures and natural phenomena are accelerating their degradation.
The event will feature researchers, experts, institutional representatives, and the Po Delta Park, who will present scientific data, case studies, and perspectives on sustainable management. The discussion will help raise awareness among students, citizens, and stakeholders on the need for concrete measures to protect natural heritage.
The day is part of the activities promoted by the LIFE NatuReef project, committed to enhancing coastal habitats and spreading nature-based solutions.
Participation is free of charge.
