Electrochemiluminescence (ECL)

His research activity is devoted to explore novel strategies to amplify the electrochemiluminescence (ECL) signal of emitting Ru(II) complexes in heterogeneous systems by exploiting molecular and supramolecular materials. Additional research interest is directed toward the investigation of organic molecules exhibiting thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) as potential alternatives to Ru(II) labels.

Electrocatalysis

Her main research topic is the electrochemical reduction reaction of carbon dioxide (CO2RR) testing a large variety of catalysts  and evaluating their performances toward the reduction. Additional research and interest is directed toward the characterization techniques (TEM, SEM) which are useful for a complete understanding of the catalysts' properties, characteristics and mechanicistic processes.

Electrocatalysis

Her main research topic is the electrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide (CO2RR). A great variety of catalysts are tested to evalute their performances toward the reduction. Additional study and interest is focused on the procedures for the synthesis of promising molecular electrocatalysts: Metal Organic Frameworks (MOFs) using non-nobel metals.

Electrocatalysis

His main research topic is the water splitting reaction, particularly focused on the pH dependent activity of the  Oxygen Evolution Reaction (OER) mechanism testing hybrid nanomaterials. Additional research and interest is focused on both carbon dioxide reduction reaction (CO2RR) and methanol oxidation testing Layered Double Hydroxide (LDH) materials.
