Forcast of the evolution of available computational power with respect to the one needed to perfrom CWE studies.

Computational Fluid Dynamics, CFD, is rapidly spreading in the field of Computational Wind Engineering, CWE. Although numerous applications of such techniques can be found in the scientific and technical literature, it is of utmost importance to proceed to a systematic and deep validation before extensive use in the design practice.

In particular, it can be foreseen that in the next 5-10 years the computational power needed to run extensive CWE analyses will match the available one.  The research performed at LAMC is aimed at validating CWE techniques with special attention to Civil Engineering applications.
