The International PhD College (I-PHD College) programme is a third-cycle training and research programme, complementary to the University's PhD programme. Participating PhD students integrate the activities planned by their PhD programmes with moments of interdisciplinary coworking and collaborations with colleagues from other fields of study.
At the end of the three-year PhD (for four-year PhDs, the programme is still completed at the end of the third year), participants are required to present at least one product or activity of scientific and cultural dissemination, contributing to civil society.
Each PhD student is assigned a Tutor, a Lecturer at the University in a different subject area from their own, who supports them in research and in the development of initiatives or products aimed at the public and civil society.
The programme also includes active participation in meetings, initiatives and projects organised by the Collegio Superiore and by the other University Schools of Excellence.
Projects and activities
PhD students of the I‑PhD College develop research projects and interdisciplinary activities on cross-disciplinary topics, to be completed by the end of their three-year programme.
