Pre-doctoral Research Fellow
Marco is a Pre-Doctoral Research Fellow working on the BELIEFS project. He studied Economics at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (B.Sc.) and at the Universitat de Barcelona (M.Sc.). His research interests lie in transport, environmental and urban economics, with a focus on the environmental externalities of air transportation and the impact of ride-hailing platforms on urban mobility. In his Master’s thesis, he examined the effectiveness of noise-related airport charges in the European Economic Area, assessing whether they create real incentives for airlines to operate quieter aircraft.
Pre-doctoral Research Fellow
Amrei is a pre-doctoral research fellow on the BELIEFS project. She studied Economics at the University of Freiburg (B.Sc.) and LMU Munich (M.Sc.). Her research interests lie in environmental and climate economics, with a particular focus on how societies adapt to the consequences of climate change. Her master’s thesis at the ifo Institute in Munich explored climate-induced migration in Mexico, analyzing how weather fluctuations influence internal mobility patterns.
Post-doc Research Fellow
Andrea Marietta Leina is an experimental economist. His research examines cooperation in social dilemmas and environmentally related behaviours. He uses laboratory, online, and field experiments to study how people make choices linked to the environment, their expectations about others, and the conditions that foster or hinder cooperation.
Post-doc Research Fellow
Inès is a macroeconomist analyzing how uncertainty shapes macroeconomic outcomes, using both theoretical and empirical approaches. Her research focuses on climate policy and financial frictions. Within the BELIEFS project, she will develop, calibrate, and simulate dynamic transition models with heterogeneous expectations to study how beliefs about climate policy affect investment and the low-carbon transition.
Simone is the project manager of BELIEFS. Simone is Research Manager at the Department of Economics, University of Bologna.
Paloma is a PhD student at Sciences Po. Her research interests are in macroeconomics and climate policies, with a focus on heterogeneity.
Post-doc Research Fellow
Andrea's research focuses on both transition risk and climate risk. Andrea has worked on climate tipping points and their economic consequences. More broadly, he's interested in environmental economics and game theory, in particular differential and network games.
Pre-doctoral Research Fellow
Natalie is a Pre-Doctoral Research Fellow working on the BELIEFS project. She completed a Master’s degree in Economics of Energy, Climate Change and Sustainability at the Barcelona School of Economics and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance from Newcastle University. In her Master’s thesis, Natalie examined the shift of the German electricity market from uniform to zonal pricing, assessing alternative zonal configurations and the role of large-scale utility storage deployment. Her research interests lie in environmental economics and energy modelling, with an emphasis on the dynamics of the low-carbon transition.
