FUTURE DESIGN HUMAN BODY INTERACTION

La diffusione pervasiva di nuove tecnologie sta creando una consapevolezza inedita che prende forma attraverso processi e pratiche di manipolazione profonda del nostro corpo – antico e contemporaneo – attraverso il design. 
Il simposio internazionale Future Design Human Body Interaction nasce con l'obiettivo di indagare come le tecnologie abilitanti stiano creando nuove competenze e nuovi comportamenti in cui nuovi processi prendono forma per rinnovare profondamente il concetto di design per il corpo.

L'indagine permetterà l'approfondimento specifico di tre specifici ambiti:

• Homo Faber
  L’uomo e il suo agire costruttivo. Strumenti e interfacce dell’uomo per creare e lavorare.
• Homo Saluber
  L’uomo in un sistema di benessere. Gli artefatti del corpo per accrescere il benessere dell’individuo.
• Homo Cogitans
  L’uomo tra interpretazione e predizione. Dati, predizioni per adeguare, adattare e trasformare il proprio comportamento.

Verrà aperta una call internazionale propedeutica all’evento attraverso un survey con l’obiettivo di:

• costruire una rete di osservatori esperti nel campo disciplinare del simposio;
• censire, schedare, mappare e interpretare i casi notevoli di questo fenomeno;
• chiamare a raccolta gli studiosi e i testimoni attivi che stanno realizzando e conducendo esperimenti in tutto il mondo per condividere insight;
• concretizzare questo scambio a partire dal simposio per aprire una riflessione collettiva sul tema.

The pervasive diffusion of enabling technologies is creating an unprecedented awareness that takes shape through processes and practices of deep manipulation of our bodies – ancient and contemporary – through design.

The international symposium Future Design Human Body Interaction aims at investigating how the enabling technologies are creating new skills and new behaviours in which new processes take shape to profoundly renew the design concepts for the body.

The survey will allow for the specific investigation of three specific areas:

• Homo Faber
  Man and his constructive action. Human tools and interfaces for creating and working.
• Homo Saluber
  Man in a system of well-being. Artefacts of the body to enhance the well-being of the individual.
• Homo cogitans
  Man between interpretation and prediction. Data, predictions to adjust, adapt and transform one' s behaviour.

The Symposium will be an opportunity to confront in a "hybrid" and multidirectional way to some questions on the relationship between man-machine evolution.

• An international call will be opened in preparation for the event through a survey with the aim of:
• build a network of observers with expertise in the symposium's subject area;
• conduct a census, catalog, map out and interpret the significant cases related to this phenomenon;
• gather together scholars and active witnesses, who are conducting experiments all around the world, to exchange insights;
• put in action this exchange to hold a collective reflection on the theme starting from the Symposium.
