Brussels – Study Visits

Study visits to the European Institutions: the EU seen from the inside

The study visits offer students from Forlì and Bologna enrolled in Prof. Fauri’s courses a unique chance to experience the European Institutions firsthand. Participants have the opportunity to observe how these institutions operate, meet officials and political figures working at the European Commission and the European Parliament, and reconnect with former University of Bologna students who are now working in Brussels.

The program typically includes a visit to the European Parliament, as well as to the Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs (DG HOME), the Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs (DG ECFIN), and the Directorate-General for Trade and Economic Security (DG TRADE).

For many undergraduate students, the visit represents their first direct encounter with the European institutions, providing a valuable opportunity to engage with officials on EU migration policies and to meet a network of professionals working in close connection with these institutions. Students are selected based on merit, curriculum vitae, and motivation by a committee comprising Prof. Fauri, CeSIPE Director Giuliana Laschi, and General Manager Fabio Casini.
