2026 began with the first issue of the SOFOS Bulletin of the new year, which also marks the third year of publication of the journal of SOFOS - Società italiana di studi sulla Fonoriproduzione Storica: a milestone that reflects an increasingly active scientific community and increasingly concrete research results.

Contributions in this issue include:

Marcello Piras addresses the issue of jazz sound memorabilia in Italy, including fakes and controversial attributions;
Enzo Giannelli presents a discography of Lucia Mannucci's 78 rpm records (1942–1957);
Angelo Pompilio and Beatrice Tioli offer a methodological reflection on the participatory cataloguing of record collections, based on the ongoing activities on the DBC record collections;
Angelo Agosti presents a research note dedicated to a census of phonographic records related to the First World War, inviting readers to collaborate.
This issue is rich in studies, ideas and perspectives, confirming SOFOS' commitment to promoting historical phonographic heritage.
