Project abstract

The planet's resources are finite and its recovering capacity is below the current demand of our production model. Changing this reality is urgent and it’s our team’s greatest goal. Thus, the project for the Ex Siapa area seeks to promote the re-identification with the place from an endogenous rehabilitation perspective, in accordance with the place’s social, cultural, economic and environmental characteristics.

We seek to insert the city in the route of regional economy through the integration of transport systems, cycle paths and pedestrian areas, along with the Unibo campus for Agro Sciences, creating a university-community integration.

By believing in the strength of creativity and technological innovations we propose a completely new system for generating clean energy, which comprises an integrated and automated system through recycling organic waste by composting, biogas production, rainwater collecting and aquaponics.

We believe in agriculture as a source of social inclusion, so we propose the establishment of workshops that will enable the production of essential oils, with organic raw material and biofertilizers produced on site, in addition to a seed-based paper for advertising and packaging for the whole set. All information will be available on the Green Cycle App, by doing so promoting an area-community interaction.
