Project abstract

Our Urban farm project is primarily aimed to be multidisciplinary in its objectives. The municipality of Galliera is lacking in suitable school equipment so we thought to convert the EX SIAPA area into a company that deals with training for students.

From the recovery of some buildings will be built offices, classrooms and laboratories for training, production, research and maintenance of the area. So the students will have the opportunity to practice in farming, breeding, pruning, product trasformation, catering and catering service.

The remaining area will be converted into an agricultural park with a multifunctional building and a greenhouse that will take advantage of sustainable farming method, hydroponic cultivation, which combines fish farming with greenhouse cultivation. In addition, to underline the sustainable and productive side, the facilities will be a meeting place for the community with play-area and services such as library, restaurant and gym.

The park is aimed to improve the quality of the surrounding landscape, creating new cycle-paths and using renewable energy (solar energy), water recovery system and phytopurification system. No cars are allowed to access the area, only service vehicles made available by the park could.
