Project abstract

The abandoned ex SIAPA area is located in a little village called Galliera (BO), in the Po’ valley. This area needs a specific revaluation in order to give new life to the whole municipality. The key force of our project will be sustainability from all points of view. We will provide economic sustainability based on the production and marketing of red fruits grown in hydroponics, the presence of a bar and a restaurant and the management of a supermarket km-0-waste. Then, a very important environmental footprint through solar panels, recycled materials, efficient management of the resources such as water and light that will be all in a close cycle. In addition, an important phytodepuration study will be carried out in order to grow phytoremediation plants able to chemically purify the area.

At the end, what will involve social and community topics will be the presence of participatory-planning garden plots, children activities, and other different projects mainly focused on the conviviality of all the citizens. To conclude, our project will certainly help the new development of the area and so the city. This will create an economic and social well-being center suitable for all.
