Operations Research is a discipline that studies general methods for solving optimization and decision problems through the design of logical-mathematical models and the development of efficient algorithms.
Research topics considered by the group concern both the development of basic methodologies, and the implementation of methods to solve specific application problems.
The research group has various national and international collaborations with research centers, public and private companies.
The Operations Research Group is part of the Department of Electrical, Electronic and Information Engineering Guglielmo Marconi (DEI) .
The members of the Operations Research Group are also members of the Italian Association of Operations Research (AIRO), the Italian branch of the Association of European Operational Research Societies (EURO) and of the International Federation of the Operational Research Societies (IFORS).
