The Open Physics Hub represents the ideal context to support the international relations of the Department of Physics and Astronomy in terms of Research projects, Teaching programs, and Technology Transfer. In particular, the availability of the OPH infrastructures aims to increase the attractiveness of the Department as a Host Institution for international research initiatives such as e.g. European FP9 projects.
Furthermore, the Research activities and the new Teaching programs promoted by OPH are expected to attract professors, researchers and students from other countries for both short-time research collaborations and more extended visiting professorships. Indeed, specific initiatives are envisaged in order to enhance the mobility of students and staff members, such as scholarships, organization of summer schools, increase of Erasmus exchanges and high-level professors hire for teaching in Master and PhD courses.
