The group has taken part in many national and european projects to develop innovative electrochemical devices, even with industrial partners since 1984. The research activity is mainly focused on basic and applied studies on inorganic, carbonaceous and polymeric nanostructured electrode materials for lithium-ion batteries, supercapacitors and fuel cells for transportation, stationary and portable applications. Electrochemical studies for biomedical applications are also performed.
