From the the central station one can walk (around 20 minutes) or take the bus.

Bus 32 direction: Porta San Mamolo, stop: Porta San Vitale
Bus 36 direction: Ospedale Bellaria, stop: Porta San Donato
Bus C direction: Teatro Comunale, stop: Teatro Comunale

The access of the historical center is limited to the residents. There are external parking places, e.g., Piazza VIII Agosto.
- From highway Milan-Modena use the exit Bologna-S. Lazzaro and follow the road (tangenziale) in direction Casalecchio.
- From highway Rimini-Padua use the exit Bologna-Arcoveggio and follow the road (tangenziale) in direction San Lazzaro

Follow the tangenziale until exit 7, enter via Stalingrado in direction center. After nearly 2 km you arrive at Porta Mascarella. Turn right in viale Angelo Masini. At the second traffic light turn left in via Capo di Lucca, after 100 m turn left in via del Pallone. At the traffic light pass via Irnerio, follow via Alessandrini and turn right to enter the parching place, Piazza VIII agosto.
