The Global Development Public Policy Youth Innovation Contest,organized by Renmin University of China and the Universities Alliance of Young Ambassadors,and guided by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations(FAO),which was officially launched in September 2024,the theme of this year's contest is"Food Security and Poverty Elimination",extends a cordial invitation to young researchers who are interested in global public policy research from your esteemed university.
The"Global Development Public Policy Youth Innovation Contest"invites young university students from renowned global institutions to delve into typical issues,practical challenges,and vivid practices in the field of global development public policy theoretically and practically.Teams are invited to propose innovative solutions for current policies from youth perspectives.This competition serves as a cutting-edge platform for young students to explore theoretical and practical aspects of sustainable development,aiming to cultivate their perspicacious issue awareness and innovative ways of thinking.It enhances their ability to analyze and solve practical problems using theoretical knowledge and fosters the development of globally competent governance as future leaders.and gather youth wisdom and youth solutions for global development.
The year 2025 marks the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations and the 10th anniversary of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs).The"Global Development Public Policy Youth Innovation Contest"gathers students from well-known universities worldwide to contribute youth wisdom and solutions to the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda.This reflects the mission and responsibility of universities in China,represented by Renmin University of China,and global youth,including Chinese university students,to jointly promote global development and build a community with a shared future for mankind.
The Contest Organizing Committee sincerely invites one outstanding team from your esteemed university to participate in the contest on behalf of your university and submit one proposal before the March 30th,2025.Please send the document of Attachment 2 and the full text of the representative team’s proposal to the committee’s email.The organizing committee will announce the shortlisted proposals for the final round after a global review of the proposals before June 2025.The shortlisted proposals will proceed to the final defense in July 2025(with the option to participate online or offline).The organizing committee will provide financial support for up to three members of each shortlisted team to participate in the final defense and practical research activities in China.For the information regarding the specific arrangements of the contest,please refer to the attachments.
