The University of Bologna invites you to join us for the second edition of the ILIO Summer School.
June 17-21, 2024
Location: Dipartimento di Filologia classica e Italianistica, University of Bologna

Enrolment start and end: April 29th, 2024 – May 16th, 2024
Open to: Students enrolled in the final year of Bachelor's degrees in Italian Studies; Master's degree students in Italian Studies; Newly graduates in Master's degree in Italian Studies; Doctoral students in the Humanities.
OUR PROGRAM
The main objective of ILIO Summer School is to provide final year students of bachelor's degrees of master's degrees and doctoral students in the humanities, in particular in Italian Studies, the skills to do research in the field of the study of Italian literature in an international perspective and to work in the field of teaching Italian language and literature abroad and to foreign students who study on international courses in Italy.
In particular, we will adress issues relating to the reception of contemporary Italian literature abroad; to the comparison between the internal and external canon of Italian literature; to the different ways of teaching Italian literature in different linguistic and cultural contexts; to the translation of modern and contemporary literary texts; to the dynamics of the publishing system that promotes Italian literature abroad.

Costs
The cost of tuition and supplementary activities is 17.04 euros.
Tuition includes free access to Wi-Fi on the university campus, access to university facilities and libraries, and organized visits. Accommodations, meals, and transportation are not included.
Due to the touristic nature of the city of Bologna, we will notify you promptly of your acceptance to the program in order to allow you to make all the necessary travel arrangements ahead of time. Based on the number of participants, we will do our best to provide you with a list of affiliated hotels.
