Call for posters

We invite submissions for the poster sessions of the final conference of the ERC-Consolidator project IDENTITIES. The poster sessions will be on March 18 and 192027

The poster sessions are intended to provide an inclusive platform for researchers at all career stages to present ongoing or completed work. Contributions may come from individual researchers or research groups whose work offers complementary insights into the project’s themes, thereby helping to position the research conducted within the IDENTITIES project within the wider international scholarship on related issues.

On March 18, the poster session will feature empirical contributions addressing one or more of the project’s core pillars:

  • Adolescents’ Identity Processes (e.g., processes of personal and social identity, identity motives, identity narratives);
  • Adolescents’ Ecological Contexts of Development with particular attention to cultural diversity (e.g., family, peers, school, community, neighborhood, media and broader societal contexts);
  • Adolescents’ Well-being (e.g., emotional well-being, life satisfaction, psychological, well-being, social well-being, physical health, sleep quality, health-related outcomes).

On March 19, the poster session will feature contributions presenting and/or evaluating identity interventions.

  • Identity interventions (e.g., designing identity interventions, testing their effectiveness, best practices for implementing identity interventions)

Link with the Special Issue in the Identity journal

Presentations selected for the conference will have the opportunity to be considered for submission to a Special Issue in the Identity journal dedicated to the themes of the IDENTITIES project.

In particular, contributions that closely align with one or more of the project’s core objectives:
(1) examining how intergroup experiences in diverse ecological contexts shape identity development;
(2) investigating how identity processes relate to multiple dimensions of well-being;
(3) exploring direct and indirect pathways linking intergroup experiences and well-being;
may be invited to submit a contribution for the special issue.

Please note that while submissions to the conference may address any of the three pillars of the project, only contributions that specifically examine the interplay among the pillars (and thus the objectives outlined above) may be considered for the special issue.

During the abstract submission process, authors will be asked to indicate whether they are interested in being considered for the special issue. Please note that this opportunity applies only to contributions based on original, unpublished work that is not currently under consideration elsewhere. All submissions will undergo the journal's standard peer-review process.
