HEURITAGE is a three-year research project (2025-2028) of the Jean Monnet Module entitled Arts and Politics. European Cultural Heritage Policies between Old and New Values, directed by Professor Anna Pellegrino at the Department of Cultural Heritage of the University of Bologna (DBC), under the ‘Erasmus+ Programme - Jean Monnet Activities’, aimed at supporting activities of excellence in teaching and research on topics related to the European integration process. The aims of the Module are to encourage and promote knowledge of EU policies in relation to Cultural Heritage from a historical perspective to contribute to its valorisation. HEURITAGE focuses on a) the historical reconstruction of EU policies towards Cultural Heritage, b) the evolution, diversity and rootedness of European heritage in all its multiple values.
The HEURITAGE Module includes three activities:
1) 30 hours of lectures each year as part of the lecturer's contemporary history courses. They are directed foremost at undergraduate students of DBC, but also to young researcher whit an interest in EU Cultural Heritage.
2) Three educational workshop of 18 hours each year aimed at undergraduate students of “The Cultural Heritage” degree.
3) A series of conference and workshops every year and a final conference open to students, scholars, cultural operators, institutions and citizens.
