Jillet Sarah Sam is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. Her research focuses on the sociology of money, digitalization and neighbourhoods.

I am Kalpeshkumar Ambalal Chauhan, a Doctoral student in Sociology at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur, India. My research interests areas are: sociology of finance and credit, and digitalization. Through my PhD research, I intend to contribute to the digital consumption literature by examining the ways in which various digital finance initiatives are being incorporated and consumed by the people in the rural India.

Hello, I am Rajorshi, a graduate student at the department of Humanities and Social Sciences in IIT, Kanpur, India. My dissertation focusses on the role played by work based networks and non-work based networks in structuring the work in digital labour platforms. I am broadly interested in economic sociology, science and technology studies and qualitative methodologies

Brian Gomes is a doctoral candidate in Sociology at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. His research interests include ageing, urban studies and Anglo-Indian studies. His PhD thesis is an ethnographical research where he is analysing the importance of neighbourhood in the everyday life of elderly Anglo-Indians in Kolkata.

Laura Tirabassi is a graduate student in Language, Society and Communication at the University of Bologna. Her dissertation investigates the impact of Covid-19 pandemic on food consumption behaviours in Italy and Great Britain by means of a qualitative and linguistic analysis. Her research interest focuses on the implications of digitalization within the interdisciplinary perspective of linguistics and sociology.

Benedetta Grazia Cirolli Polizzi is a BA student at the University of Bologna in the faculty of Political, Social and International Science, communication curriculum. She is passionate about illustration and graphic design, while keeping a bright interest for Sociology. Her future goal is to work in the field of research and data visualization. Benedetta designed the graphic project for this research.
