The BIT-ACT team is getting bigger: Alessandra Lo Piccolo, who is about to finish her PhD at the Scuola Normale Superiore, is joining our research team.

Her PhD dissertation focuses on the accountability consequences of grassroots anti-corruption mobilizations in Italy and Spain.

Over the years, Lo Piccolo has conducted research on the impact of civil society initiatives on governmental transparency, whistleblowers’ protection, and political monitoring. Her research interests include political sociology, political corruption, collective action, and relational sociology.

She is a member of COSMOS - The Centre on Social Movement Studies.

Welcome to BIT-ACT!
