On 13-14 March 2023, the European Commission consulted with independent anti-corruption experts and Member States to gather input on the Commission's forthcoming anti-corruption package. During the meetings, the discussion focused on a broader understanding of the definitions of corruption offences and the Communication on the EU's anti-corruption policy. Participants also called for better coordination with academia and civil society in order to effectively disseminate the findings of the Commission's Rule of Law Report on the ground.
