What technologies are available to us to increase participation and accountability in the water and sanitation sector? How do we access and use new technologies for anti-corruption work? What are the risks?

These and other questions will be discussed at the “Integrity Talk 5: Emerging Technologies for Water Integrity, an event organized by the Water Integrity Network (WIN). The event will explore the role that emerging technologies can play to promote integrity and identify corruption risks in the water and sanitation sectors and in climate change finance. It will also discuss some of the challenges, limitations, and ethical considerations linked to applying new digital technologies in the water sector and beyond.

Fernanda Odilla, research fellow of the BIT-ACT project, will moderate this webinar that has a great panel lined up to frame the discussion and share examples of new data collection and analysis tools for water and sanitation: Isabelle Adam, Government Transparency Institute;  Albert Lihalakha, Green Climate Fund;  Maria da Graça Prado, CoST – the Infrastructure Transparency Initiative; and Nanda Sihombing, Open Contracting Partnership
