Fernanda Odilla as keynote speaker at the VI Academia against Corruption in the Americas Conference in Mexico

The BIT-ACT research fellow will talk about emerging technologies to fight corruption

We are excited to announce that Fernanda Odilla, BIT-ACT research fellow, will serve as one of the keynote speakers for the VI Academia against Corruption in the Americas conference.

The conference is scheduled to take place in Mexico City from October 18th to 20th, 2023. The conference can be also followed online.

Odilla’s presentation, titled "Brave New World? Hopes, Benefits, and Perils of Using New Technologies in Anti-Corruption," will cover an emerging topic in corruption studies. While the presentation will be delivered in Portuguese, translation services will be available.

The other keynote speakers are Nancy Boswell (American University) and Joseph Pozsgai-Álvarez (Osaka University).

The sixth edition of the ACA conference will feature an impressive lineup of over two dozen peer-reviewed presentations in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. It will provide a platform for scholars, experts, and practitioners to engage in insightful discussions and exchange ideas on combating corruption in the Americas.
