Huss discusses the role of the anti-corruption struggle for the continuity and change of the social contract in Ukraine

On 20th March 2023, Oksana Huss delivers the seminar Continuity and Change of the social contract in Ukraine: The case of contested anti-corruption policies, as part of the course “Ukrainian Politics and Society” at the Virginia Commonwealth University.

In the seminar, she discusses how the contestation of power between patronal and non-patronal actors in Ukraine evolved through the lens of anti-corruption policies and their outcomes.

The seminar also looks at the recent dynamics of corruption and anti-corruption under martial law in Ukraine since the full-scale Russian invasion.
