BIT-ACT at the ECPR 2024 General Conference

Fernanda Odilla and Alessandra Lo Piccolo presented their work in Dublin, Ireland

Our researchers Fernanda Odilla and Alessandra Lo Piccolo attended the ECPR (European Consortium of Political Science Research) General Conference 2024, which took place at University College Dublin from 12 to 15 August 2024.

Odilla presented the paper entitled “What happens after the anti-corruption franchising ends? The opposite trajectories of former Transparency International chapters in Brazil and Uruguay”. Lo Piccolo's presentation was entitled "Layers of repression and civic efforts against corruption: unveiling systemic constraints on societal accountability".

Both papers were conducted within the framework our project and were presented on the panel "Bottom-up Accountability: Addressing Citizen Engagement and its Challenges in the Battle Against Corruption", co-chaired by Fernanda Odilla and Giovanna Rodriguez-Garcia.

Odilla also co-chaired the panel "Bridging the Measurement and Implementation Gaps in Corruption Studies" with Susana Coroado.
