In the framework of the 2024 Media Flow Congress, the PI of the BIT-ACT project, Alice Mattoni, will contribute to a discussion on "The New Public Sphere: Citizenship, Media and Politics" together with Emiliano Treré (University of Cardiff), Laura Iannelli (University of Sassari) and Miren Gutiérrez (University of Deusto). The debate will be chaired by Dolors Palau (UV).

The Mediaflows 2024 Congress, which will take place from 18 to 20 September at the University of Valencia,  aims to analyse the struggle between political and social actors to control communication flows in a context of content overload. It will explore the strategic uses of political communication in this new landscape and the role of citizenship in the generation and dissemination of information. The congress will compare traditional and emerging forms of leadership and communication strategies, with the participation of scholars, political figures and social actors. More info here.
