ADU NETWORK

The Advanced Design Unit bases its activities on research focused on building specialized networks between universities, local industrial sectors, institutions, and international partners.

The research conducted by the Advanced Design Unit translates into platforms for data sharing, thematic observatories, and networks between national and international partners.

This valuable relationship with institutions, universities, and research centers results in innovation projects aimed at developing new skills, creating industrial products, communication artifacts, or services, with a particular focus on economic, social, and environmental impacts.

Through the organization of outreach activities, meetings, conferences, and educational projects, spaces and opportunities for discussion are created between academic communities, professionals, and stakeholders, promoting the exchange of knowledge and the construction of shared visions on the future scenarios of the Cultures of the project.

Platforms

diid

is an open access, peer-reviewed scientific design journal published by the Bologna University Press since 2021. The journal was founded in 2002. Building on established knowledge about industrial design and the different design sectors, diid investigates advanced design cultures, addressing anticipatory perspectives and exploring the convergence between complex systems, stakeholders, organizations and their mutual\ relations.

C.R.I.C.C.

is a research center active in the field of design process and digital technologies for knowledge management, communication, and cultural heritage through Advanced Design methodologies for the development and consolidationof the regional production system, with a specific focus on the cultural and creative industries (CCI) sector. Through a series of experimental pilot projects, the Center aims to generate new knowledge and innovative production opportunities.

Relaia

offers solutions which digitize community participation in decision-making processes and harmonize strategic guidelines through open and trusted algorithmic systems. The goal is to create a collection of tools dedicated to the integration of socio-cultural data, in order to be used in different contexts, such as city monitoring, digital twins, and many other applications. At the same time, methods for strategic planning are being developed based on future scenarios and algorithms adapted to the specific cultural characteristics of the contexts in which they operate.

Observatories

represent platforms for sharing data and various research content.
