Professor Richter received his PhD degree in Plant Biology from the University of Vienna, Austria. Andreas Richter is professor for Soil and Climate Change Ecology at the University of Vienna, Austria, and the current director of the Centre for Microbiology and Environmental Systems Science (CeMESS). He is also Senior Guest Research Scholar at the International Institute for Advanced Systems Science (IIASA). He is interested in all aspects of terrestrial ecosystem ecology and biogeochemistry. His research aims at a mechanistic understanding of the role of soil microbes and their interaction with plants in the functioning of terrestrial ecosystems.
Agricultural Engineer, PhD, Professor of Agronomy in the University of Seville (since 1996, full professor since 2009).
