The round table “The Rules of the Seeds in Africa”, part of the LUMEN research project, will take place on Monday, June 30, 2025, from 12:00 to 16:00 at the University of Florence – Social Sciences Campus, Room D4/2.41.
Now at its third edition in 2025, the event brings together researchers engaged in an interdisciplinary reflection on the rules governing natural resources, at the intersection of law, environment, and local cultures.
Speakers will include Veronica Federico, coordinator of the UNIFI research unit, along with team members Maria Stella Rognoni, Giulia Fontanella, Rachele Cecchi, Anna Pettini, and Silvia Sassi. They will be joined by Mariachiara Boldrini, Riccardo Arietti, Alessandro Francescangeli, and Alessandro Latterini to explore the formal and informal norms regulating the use, conservation, and circulation of seeds in Africa, from a perspective that weaves together law, ecology, culture, and economics.
The event will also be accessible online via Google Meet at the following link: https://meet.google.com/qus-dusr-ivz.
