Summer School Presentation

Purposes
The Summer School aims to offer high-level training on the emerging issues of archiving and preservation of websites and social media, which represent a new and diversified type of material whose preservation is essential for a variety of scientific fields (e.g. historical, sociological, anthropological, etc..) for the future reconstruction of current civilization. The Summer School also intends to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to encourage the development of new professionals and to start new working paths for interested students.

Recipients
The Summer School is aimed at cultural heritage professionals (archivists, librarians, museum operators), computer scientists, officials of public institutions and private companies and students/doctoral candidates in Library and information science and in Digital humanities and, in general, to all those who are interested in issues related to archiving and preservation of websites, blogs, social media, etc.. Participants will acquire knowledge and technical and theoretical skills that can be used in different interdisciplinary contexts.
