BAES WINTER SCHOOL
Hosted by Universidad Complutense de Madrid
In cooperation with UNA Europa and the Bachelor of European Studies (BAES) partner universities
The 3rd UNA Europa – BAES Winter School invites BAES students to explore today’s key security challenges for the European Union — from migration and humanitarian governance to energy security and defence in a shifting geopolitical landscape.
Participants will engage with leading scholars and experts through lectures, group work, and round tables, combining academic insight with policy discussion.
Students will:
Reflect on EU migration governance, energy dependence, and defence strategies;
Analyse the EU’s role in an unstable global context;
Experience international teamwork and transdisciplinary learning.
The Winter School is held entirely in English.
Dates: 9–13 February 2026 (Madrid)
Online preparatory session: 6 February 2026
