Security Challenges for the EU in Turbulent Times

The 3rd UNA Europa – BAES Winter School invites BAES students to explore today’s key security challenges for the European Union — from migration and humanitarian governance to energy security and defence in a shifting geopolitical landscape.

Participants will engage with leading scholars and experts through lectures, group work, and round tables, combining academic insight with policy discussion.

Learning Focus

Students will:

  • Reflect on EU migration governanceenergy dependence, and defence strategies;

  • Analyse the EU’s role in an unstable global context;

  • Experience international teamwork and transdisciplinary learning.

The Winter School is held entirely in English.

Participation & Benefits

Up to 15 BAES students from UNIBO will be selected under the Erasmus+ BIP scheme, covering travel and a daily allowance.
