Una Masterclass: AI in Court - Krakow 29 August - 02 September

The sixth Una Masterclass workshop will focus on applications of AI in law court scenarios. Don't miss it and go to Kraków from 29 August to 2 September. The deadline to apply is 10 July 2022.

Una Masterclasses are a few days meetings with world-leading scientists, entrepreneurs, science managers, and opinion-makers to discuss a selected, vital problem falling within the thematic scope of the project.

The sixth Una Masterclass workshop for PhD students will be held under DIGITALIZED! Society in the Era of Digital Revolution project by Henry Prakken, Professor of Legal Informatics and Legal Argumentation at the University of Groningen.

 

How can artificial intelligence (AI) support judicial decision-making? Can algorithms support judges to increase the efficiency, predictability and consistency of judicial decision-making? What are the pros and cons of the use of AI in law court scenarios? The aim of this masterclass is to answer these questions and discuss the issues from a legal-theoretical and philosophical perspective.

Requirements: the status of PhD student in one of Una Europa universities, interest in the workshop topic.
