What is the Student Project Incubator?

The Una Europa Student Project Incubator is part of the initiative “Una Europa in the Community”. It offers students the opportunity to collaborate across borders and disciplines, working together on prototype solutions to real societal challenges.

The programme is designed around challenge-based learning and design-thinking methodologies, combining academic expertise with community engagement. By joining the Incubator, students will develop creativity, problem-solving and intercultural teamwork skills while reflecting on the role of universities in their communities.

Programme Structure and Commitment

The Incubator lasts eight weeks, from 6 October to 30 November 2025, and is organised in four phases of two weeks each. Each phase includes workshops, mentoring, community sessions and peer-to-peer feedback, guiding participants step by step in the development of their project.

The programme is available for 10 students per each Una Europa University and is fully online and free of charge for all selected participant

Students should expect to dedicate around 2 hours per session. Across the programme, they will:

  • Take part in an online kick-off meeting on 6 October
  • Join thematic academic workshops and community events
  • Work in international teams on regular assignments (milestones) every two weeks
  • Present their results in an online showcase in December 2025

During the showcase, projects will be evaluated by a professional jury and peers. The three most promising prototypes will be awarded seed funding to be tested in Spring 2026.
