Una Europa "Live My Life"

Are you a staff member at one of the eleven Una Europa Universities? Do you work in Human Resources Units, Sustainability and/or Facility Management Offices, or Financial Units dealing with EU funded Projects? If so, an exciting and attractive opportunity is waiting for you!

Join the third edition of Una Europa Live My Life, a unique programme that allows job shadowing and peer-to-peer learning across Europe. This programme aims to actively engage professionals within the Una Europa Alliance and foster mutual learning in a transnational context. It is specifically designed for staff members working in administrative units not yet directly or extensively involved in Una Europa activities.

 What to Expect

The Live My Life 2023 programme will kick off in October 2023 with three online sessions, followed by on-site visits lasting up to one week per person between October 2023 and March 2024. At the end of the on-site visits, a final online wrap-up and evaluation event will be organised.

The online sessions will cover:

1. Understanding Una Europa and its functioning mechanisms, including its development since its establishment in 2018, its benefits for universities, and its organizational structure (this session will be open to a broader audience and not only to the selected participants).
2. Introduction to Live My Life and what participants can expect from the programme.
3. Tandem and individual exercises focused on planning work together and developing a "knowledge transfer template."

How to Apply

To apply, start by familiarizing yourself with the open positions and suggested activities mentioned in the call. This will help align your expectations and facilitate the formation of tandem pairs working on similar activities. You can apply as an individual or as part of a tandem. If you apply individually, you will be matched with the most suitable peers.

The online application form will require you to:

• Select one of the focus working areas of the Live My Life 2023 programme.
• Describe your current position, main activities, and responsibilities.
• Share your motivations and expectations for the programme.
• (For individual applicants) Indicate your top three preferred destinations among the 11 Una Europa members.
• (For tandem applicants) Provide the name, job position, and institution of your preferred peer.

Selection Process

The Live My Life organization team will review all applications, match individual candidates, and form tandems. The list of created tandems will be shared with the participating institutions for final selection, based on available funding. Each institution can fund a minimum of 2 participants, with the possibility of additional funding depending on the budget and other funds.

Even if you are not selected for funding, you will still be invited to participate in the online preparatory meetings, especially the session on "What is Una Europa and how it works."

Timeline

• Applications are open from 5 June to 30 June 2023.
• Selected participants will be contacted in July 2023, along with their assigned peers.
• The three online sessions will take place in October 2023.

• Time: 14:30 – 16:30 CEST

Online Session 2: Empowering and Intercultural Event: The Red Nose Workshop + Live My Life Programme Next Steps

• Date: Tuesday, November 7th
• Time: 9:30 – 12:00 CEST

Online Session 3: Speed Dating and First Tandem Exercises

• Date: Friday, November 17th
• Time: 10:00 – 12:00 CEST

• On-site visits will occur between October 2023 and March 2024.
