Una Europa Cultural Heritage Book Series

On 18 April, the first volume of the book series titled "Dissonant Heritage: Concepts, Critiques, Cases," edited by Patrizia Battilani, Maria Giovanna Belcastro, Krzysztof Kowalski, and Teresa Nicolosi, was released. It is part of the actions that the Cultural Heritage SSCs are advancing in UnaFutura. This initiative aims to promote research and dissemination of cultural heritage through a series of online and open access publications.

This first volume is the result of a collaboration between academic institutions, doctoral students, and funders.

The volume includes a collection of essays by doctoral students who participated in an international workshop held in Bologna and Cracow on the theme of dissonant heritage.

Through original and in-depth analyses, the doctoral students provide a unique perspective on this crucial topic, significantly contributing to our understanding of cultural heritage.

Furthermore, the volume provides a comprehensive overview of the cultural heritage of universities belonging to the UnaEuropa network, including museums and collections. This section is the result of research funded by UnaEuropa grants, which have enabled the exploration and documentation of cultural treasures housed in academic institutions.

The volume will be available online for free, following the principle of open access. This means that anyone, anywhere in the world, will be able to access and benefit from these valuable contributions to cultural knowledge.
