Camille Bourdiel

Hello everyone! I'm Camille Bourdiel, an administrative manager at Université Parisien-Panthéon-Sorbonne, specifically at the Centre d'Histoire Sociale des Monts Contemporains (CHS), which is part of Université Parisien-Panthéon-Sorbonne and also affiliated with CNRS, the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique. I recently participated in the Live My Life exchange programme at the University of Bologna.

What is the Live My Life in Europa programme, and what prompted you to participate?

The Live My Life program is an extraordinary initiative that offers professionals from various sectors the opportunity to immerse themselves in new work environments abroad. I decided to participate in this programme because I wanted to discover new working methods, implement the best practices from Italy into my daily routine, and meet new colleagues. It was a fantastic experience, both professionally and personally, to travel to Bologna.

What was the most significant or memorable moment you experienced during the programme?

Without a doubt, the most significant moment was the first meeting with the Italian research team. It was exciting to exchange ideas, knowledge, and perspectives with colleagues who were so brilliant and passionate. This cultural and professional exchange was incredibly enriching for me.

What has this experience taught you and how do you think it will influence your future work?

This experience has taught me the importance of flexibility and open-mindedness in the workplace. I have learned new strategies and approaches that I am sure will improve my effectiveness in handling daily challenges. Additionally, I have developed new relationships and collaborations that I hope will continue to bear fruit in my future work.

Finally, what advice would you give to other professionals who wish to participate in similar experiences?

My advice is to seize every opportunity that arises to explore new professional and cultural horizons. Participating in programs like Live My Life offers unprecedented personal and professional growth opportunities. Be open, curious, and ready to embrace the challenges that await you.
