  • Date: 26 FEBRUARY 2024  from 10:00 to 15:15

  • Event location: Online event

This workshop serves as the foundational platform for the development of two innovative doctoral training programs within the Una Europa project Una.Futura.

The first program, Doctoral Interdisciplinary Methods Training (DIMT), is designed to cater initially to the fields of social sciences, humanities, and law, with later expansion into the natural sciences. This comprehensive course aims to equip doctoral students and their supervisors with essential interdisciplinary methodologies. Moreover, it offers a unique opportunity for participants to engage in academic mobility, facilitating their movement across various universities within the Una Europa alliance.

The second initiative is an interdisciplinary doctoral training program centered on the thematic exploration of "Europe and the World." By concentrating on best practices in supervision and training, this program aims to cultivate a dynamic learning environment for doctoral candidates working on topics pertinent to Europe and its global interactions.

During the workshop session, attendees will embark on a journey to:

  • Explore and understand the best practices in PhD supervision and mentoring, gaining valuable insights into effective strategies.
  • Engage in collaborative brainstorming sessions to envision the future landscape of doctoral supervising and training, fostering innovative ideas and approaches.
  • Actively contribute to the development of interdisciplinary training programs tailored specifically for PhD candidates and supervisors within the Una Europa framework.

This workshop is especially suitable for:

  • PhD Supervisors interested in Interdisciplinary Methods Training and/or topics related to Europe and the World.
  • Doctoral researchers working on interdisciplinary projects or on topics related to Europe and the World.
  • Deans of Graduate Schools.
  • Administrative Staff in Graduate Schools.
