Dynamical universality: lessons from anomalous fluctuations

The study of anomalous transport phenomena in low-dimensional interacting systems has led to many exciting discoveries in the last couple of years. By exemplifying various types of unorthodox transport properties found in certain models such as the integrable Heisenberg spin chain and simple classical cellular automata, I will argue that the present conventional understanding of dynamical universality classes is inadequate and thus calls for refinement.
