L’attività del Dipartimento di Scienze Statistiche si inserisce in un contesto sociale ed economico in cui la statistica e l'analisi quantitativa sono strumenti fondamentali per comprendere i fenomeni complessi, formulare previsioni accurate e fornire evidenze a supporto delle decisioni politiche e aziendali.

Mettendo a disposizione le competenze interdisciplinari e trasversali del Dipartimento, nell’ambito della Terza missione e delle iniziative di public engagement, la “Statistics Clinic” ha l’obiettivo di

• promuovere la conoscenza e la fruibilità dei diversi argomenti legati alla statistica e traversali alla società coinvolgendo e dando sempre più spazio alla partecipazione attiva degli stakeholder;
• proporre un servizio di consulenza statistica specializzata alle imprese, potenziando la rete di collaborazioni interdisciplinari ed i contatti con le realtà imprenditoriali del territorio.

Soggetti ed istituzioni esterni all’Università di Bologna interessati ai servizi offerti dalla Statistics Clinic sono invitati a contattarci. Offriamo una prima consulenza conoscitiva gratuita e, in caso di collaborazione, le fasi successive saranno definite in conformità con il regolamento di Ateneo sulle attività conto terzi.

The activities of the Department of Statistical Sciences are carried out within a social and economic context in which statistics and quantitative analysis are fundamental tools for understanding complex phenomena, making accurate forecasts, and providing evidence to support political and business decision-making.

Through its interdisciplinary and broad expertise, and within the framework of the Third Mission and public engagement initiatives, the Statistics Clinic aims to:

• promote the knowledge and accessibility of statistical topics and their applications in society, encouraging the active participation of stakeholders;
• offer tailored statistical consulting services to enterprises, strengthening the network of interdisciplinary collaborations and connections with the business community in the region.

How to request a Consultation from the Statistics Clinic

Non UNIBO members and institutions who are interested in the services offered by the Statistics Clinic are invited to contact us. We offer an initial consultation free of charge and, in the event of a collaboration, the next steps will be determined in accordance with the University’s regulations on third-party activities.
