Resurvey
We selected a subset of small Med islands with vegetation plot data recorded at least 25 years ago (image below). During Spring 2024 we started field surveys, and we plan to include new islands during the 2025 field season!

How to apply? We ask contributors to choose one or more islands from the list we have assembled, relocate a number of plots (possibly all the one belonging to original surveys) on that island, and resurvey them in Spring 2024. Below, you can find the resurvey protocol with a detailed working plan. We are working hard to ensure the most accurate plot geographic coordinates.
Why to apply? To our knowledge, this is the first attempt to specifically test a climate driven deviation of the island equilibrium model, using small islands as a target on a quite large extent as the entire Mediterranean basin. We aim to prepare a paper during winter 2024-25 to be submitted to a high rated journal, for which each contributor will be coauthor.
