The research team
Head of project, patent inventor
Associate professor of the University of Bologna since 2017 in the sector of Agricultural chemistry. Her research interests are focused on ecofriendly techiques to depollute the soil-water-plant system. Recently, she is involved in protocol definition to enhance the production of crops with zero-pesticide residue, in the abatement of antibiotics and antibiotic-resistance in animal manure and in the removal of mineral oil hydrocarbons from cellulose-based food packaging. She is involved in several regional, national and international research projects (PON Taranto, PSR Regione Lombardia REFLUA, PSR Regione Emilia-Romagna Re-Phyt, Fit4Reuse, H2020 FoodE) thanks to collaborations with local and foreign Universities and Research Centres. Author of 50 publications on international journals and inventor of "Use of mesoporous silica" international patent extended to EU, USA and China, recently under Proof of Concept fundings.
Patent inventor

Has authored an industrial patent on recycled paper decontamination for food packaging safety. Has a solid background as food chemical analyst, having worked in Quality Control (QC) accredited labs for two great Food Industry companies (Eurovo Group and Conserve Italia).
Patent inventor
Associate Professor at university of Eastern Piedmont. Chiara Bisio graduated in Chemistry with top marks. In November 2001 she begins the PhD, that was in co-tutoring Italy-France. She worked under the supervision of Prof. S. Coluccia (University of Turin) and Dr. P. Massiani (University P. et M. Curie, Paris). On July 2005 she obtained the PhD in Chemistry at the University of Turin (Italy) and the degree of Doctor of the University "Pierre et Marie Curie" (France). From November 2004 to November 2008 C. Bisio was Post-doc at the University of Eastern Piedmont. From December 2008, she is researcher at the same University.
Researcher dedicated to the project
Stefano Marchesi was born in Voghera (Pavia) on 23/08/1990. He earned his doctorate (Ph.D.) in "Chemistry & Biology" at the University of Piemonte Orientale in Alessandria. Since 2013, S. M. has focused his studies on the synthesis of molecular organosilica compounds (POSS) and layered materials with controlled chemical composition and on their structural, morphological, spectroscopic, thermogravimetric and relaxometric characterization.
